"LKA Specks & Spots" Tourney Results

Lowcountry Kayak Anglers "Specks & Spots" tournament went down on Saturday, on one windy, cold Saturday morning.  We had 29 anglers entered, and raised over $1100 for our HOW Chapter.

Specks & Spots' winners were determined by aggregate of each anglers largest redfish and trout.  Here are the place winners:

1st: Dave Jaskiewicz - 46.75" - Shimano rod/reel (Palmetto State Armory) North Face Duffel and accessories (Half Moon Outfitters)

2nd: Lewis G. Brownlee - 45.00" - Astral Ronny Camo PFD and Wilderness Systems Custom Dry Bag (Time Out Sports)

3rd: Dolphin Hamilton - 44.75" - Penn Battle 2 rod/reel (Haddrells Point Tackle)

1st place Youth Angler: Ben Duncan - 30.25" - Quantum 30 reel (Atlantic Game & Tackle)

Largest Red: Jim Morrissey - 30.00" - $50 gift card (The Charleston Angler)

Largest Trout: Dolphin Hamilton - 21.50" - $50 gift card (The Charleston Angler)

LKA October Angler of the Month

The Lowcountry Kayak Anglers wishes to congratulate Jim Morrissey - he's our Angler of the Month for October.

The October species was catfish, and there were a lot of nice cats caught for the month and submitted for AOY.  Jim caught a nice 41" fish to secure first place, and with the win he gets max AOY points as well as a $20 gift card to Palmetto State Armory!
